Kanye West has reportedly hired Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, and the representatives at Brown Rudnick to manage all legal aspects of his business affairs.
Vasquez and her associates led Depp to a victory in his $10 million defamation case against Amber Heard, and have quickly gained global attention becoming some of the most sought-after attorneys in celebrity circles, according to TMZ. Vasquez and the Brown Rudnick team will reportedly be handling West’s contracts and negotiations at a time when the famous rapper and business mogul is facing increased tension with his business associates.

West officially lost a critical partner in business when luxury fashion house Balenciaga cut ties with him on Friday. There was no official reason given for termination of their partnership, according to TMZ.
West was confronted with criticism and backlash when he wore a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt to his Yeezy fashion show and made a series of anti-Semitic attacks on social media, according to TMZ. He continued to push the boundaries by sounding off on the death of George Floyd by claiming Floyd was killed by a fentanyl overdose and not as a result of a police officer’s knee on his neck, according to the outlet. Vasquez has been retained in the business spectrum but won’t be handling West’s personal affairs. Divorce attorney Bob Cohen, who represented Melinda Gates, was hired by West for his divorce battle against Kim Kardashian, which is expected to begin in December, according to TMZ.
