The Daily Caller’s Noah Pincus asked New Yorkers whether they think white lives matter after rapper Kanye West, formally known as ‘Ye’, wore a t-shirt with the phrase.

Ye stunned fans when he wore a t-shirt with the words “White Lives Matter” printed on the back during a Yeezy fashion show in Paris in early October. (RELATED: Jaden Smith Walked Out Of Kanye’s Fashion Show After Seeing ‘White Lives Matter’ Shirt)

Ye then tore into the Black Lives Matter movement, calling the group a “scam.”

“Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam. Now it’s over. You’re welcome.”

Pincus took to the streets of New York to ask New Yorkers how they feel about the slogan.

“He wore a white lives matter shirt and everyone’s going crazy,” Pincus said.

“Do you guys think white lives matter?” Pincus asked.

“I think everyone’s lives matter, c’mon dude, all lives matter, and people know that,” one man said, while another said it seems like a political stunt if you say that and “you’re not [part of] a marginalized group.”

One respondent said it’s common knowledge that all lives matter.
