Famous NFL player Antonio Brown will have to pay $1.2 million in damages to moving truck driver Anton Tumanov in relation to an alleged assault case that dates back to February 2020.

The jury found Brown liable for $407,000 for Tumanov’s past and future medical expenses and $793,000 for past and future pain and suffering after the NFL star allegedly attacked him when he was attempting to make a delivery to Brown’s Broward County, Florida home, according to TMZ. Sources close to the situation revealed that Brown failed to attend the hearing altogether.

Jeffrey R. Davis of Jeffrey R. Davis P.A. and Michael Lotto of The Ward Law Group represented Tumanov in court, claiming Brown snapped on their client during a dispute over the payment for the package, according to TMZ. The former NFL player allegedly damaged Tumanov’s vehicle, and hit the driver multiple times. (RELATED: REPORT: NFL Legend Frank Gore Dragged A Naked Woman Through A New Jersey Hotel By Her Hair)

Court documents indicate Tumanov sustained “severe bodily injuries” from the alleged attack by the ex-Buccaneers receiver.

Soon after the incident, Brown was charged with three criminal offenses, but struck a plea deal with prosecutors to get the charges dropped. He agreed to probation, community service hours, and mandatory anger management courses, according to TMZ.
