Police arrested TikTok star QCP for felony possession of a stolen vehicle, but he claimed he was in the U-Haul helping a friend move and had no idea his friend hadn’t settled the bill for the truck, TMZ reported Wednesday.

Officers from The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) pulled QCP over Sept. 9 after running his plates, according to TMZ. Police said the plates on the U-Haul he was driving were registered to a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Police proceeded to arrest QCP, according to TMZ.

The TikTok star was reportedly released on $25,000 bail, and he has not officially been charged as of yet.

Sources close to the situation said QCP told them he had borrowed the vehicle from a friend, according to TMZ.

The U-Haul truck was flagged as a stolen vehicle because someone rented it and failed to return it to the company prior to QCP getting in the driver’s seat, TMZ continued, citing police.

QCP’s representatives said they don’t believe the TikTok star will not be charged, according to TMZ. Their client was not the person who rented the vehicle, and he doesn’t have a history of car theft offenses, TMZ reported. (RELATED: Rod Stewart’s Son Hospitalized After Being Hit By A Truck)

QCP  has maintained his innocence and said he had no idea the truck wasn’t paid for, according to TMZ. He also said he wasn’t aware the vehicle had previously been reported as stolen, the outlet continued.

His roommate has since paid the bill for the truck rental, according to TMZ.
