“The View” co-hosts claimed Thursday that Republicans are “using” Republican Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker because of his race.

The panel said Walker is an unqualified candidate over the reports that he allegedly paid for two former girlfriends to undergo abortions, despite running on a pro-life platform. They then criticized Republicans for continuing to back the candidate, and showed a Fox News segment where Republican South Carolina Lindsey Graham argued Walker “destroys” the liberal narrative that Republicans and conservatives are racist.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg called Graham’s comment “ignorant” and claimed that she only votes for people on the basis of their qualifications.

“Here’s what you need to know, Lindsey, just because you see a black person, doesn’t mean that we do monkey see, monkey do,” Goldberg said. “And I’m sure that you don’t know how insulting that is, but let us just say to you, don’t ever say that again because you look ignorant as hell. Don’t do that … You know, it doesn’t work that way. It may work that way for you, because we know what you’re doing. We know what you’re up to, but we don’t just go get people because they look the right way, we actually have to find the people who can actually do the damn job. That’s what we want.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin claimed Republicans and former President Donald Trump chose Walker because his opponent, Democratic Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock, is black. (RELATED: Whoopi Goldberg Says Herschel Walker Only Got The GOP Nomination Because He’s Black)

“They wanted someone who was black to confront him [Warnock], to oppose him,” Hostin said. “I think it’s sad that the GOP is using Herschel Walker in that way, and he’s letting himself be used, because I really do think he’s being used.”

Co-host Sara Haines argued that Walker should admit to his alleged past of paying for his former girlfriends’ abortions and tell his supporters that he became a born again Christian. She listed several of his alleged lies, such as saying he was in law enforcement.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin agreed that Republicans are “playing into identity politics” by backing Walker, and said that they will support him no matter how many women come out with accusations against him. She then said that Republicans do not need to rely on Walker to regain control of the Senate, pointing to Republican Colorado Senate candidate Joe O’Dea who is leading in the race.

Co-host Joy Behar said the public should count how many women Walker has “not knocked up” after a second woman accused him of “pressuring” her to receive an abortion Wednesday. She then said Warnock is an educated pastor qualified for the Senate seat and that Republicans are using “dark money” to buy the races and perpetuating “nasty lies” about Democrats.

“I don’t understand how the party of family values can still be behind Trump, 59% of Republicans still behind Trump, and I don’t understand how the party of family values and the evangelical right would vote for a man like Herschel Walker,” Hostin said.

The hosts called on Walker to admit he is wrong and stop lying about these accusations. Goldberg claimed Republicans “have no sympathy or empathy” for anyone who has undergone an abortion or have made mistakes.

Walker denied both allegations that he paid for two women to have abortion both in the 1990’s and in 2009. He has accused the Daily Beast, who first broke the news of the first allegation, and Democrats of making up lies about him for political purposes.

“I’m done with this foolishness. I’ve already told people this is a lie, and I’m not going to entertain, continue to carry a lie along,” Walker said during a campaign event Wednesday.
