Now this is just embarrassing.
If you’re aware of the existence of teenage girls, and unfortunately we all are, then you know their style: pulling out their phones, sticking their tongues out, taking photograph after photograph until they get the perfect shot for Instagram or Snapchat. The goofy smiles, not to mention the clownish faces … It’s just cringe, all-around cringe.
And it’s even more cringe when a grown-ass man who is in the NFL is doing it before a game. Enter Carolina Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro. (Because, of course, it would be a kicker.)
This happened prior to the Panthers-Atlanta Falcons game Oct. 30:

Ew.
And then all of that is made even worse when Pineiro missed not one, but TWO game-winning field goals in the exact same game that he got in the zone for by taking selfies. It’s just not a good look.

To make this whole situation even worse than it already is, you also have the fact that Eddy Pineiro will most likely delete those photos. Why would you keep them? Why would you want to remind yourself (or anyone else on social media for that matter) of all of this cringe?
So essentially, all of this was for nothing. Pineiro made himself look like a fool, just to have to delete his selfies anyway, and now he’s becoming nothing more than a walking meme and a punchline. The true lesson here: Don’t take high school girl selfies if you’re a man. EVER. You’ll lose every single time.
