Former child star from the TV show “My Three Sons” Dawn Lyn is in a coma after undergoing brain surgery.
Stanley Livingston, who starred opposite Lyn on the sitcom, posted an update about her condition to social media. Lyn slipped into a coma unexpectedly after her doctors operated on her brain, according to TMZ.
“Just found out my little TV Sis’, DAWN LYN (Dodie), is in a COMA and fighting for her life. She had surgery recently to remove a brain tumor. Please pray for her to have a swift and full recovery,” Livingston wrote.
“Dawn is one of the nicest human beings I have ever known. Thoughts and prayers also go out to her husband, John, at this time. This is devastating news!” Livingston said, according to TMZ.

Livingston spoke fondly about his friend and former co-star and reminisced about the time he spent with her in recent days. “I took Dawn out to lunch a couple of months ago. We had a great time reminiscing about our MTS days,” Livingston said, according to TMZ.
Leif Garrett, Lyn’s brother revealed his sister’s desire to keep her condition away from the press.
“My sister, Dawn, never wanted anyone to know about the surgery,” he said, according to TMZ.
“Since it has been leaked on social media, I would really appreciate everyone’s understanding that it has already been a difficult time having lost both of our parents and a cousin recently,” Garrett said, according to TMZ. Garrett appealed to Lyn’s fans and followers to send prayers for his sister’s recovery.
“Please just keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers and respect our family’s privacy. Thank you,” he said.
Lyn is best known for her role as Dodie Doublas on “My Three Sons,” but has a diverse portfolio of experience in the world of entertainment. She also appeared in “Wonder Woman,” “Emergency,” and “Diagnosis Murder,” according to TV Guide.
