One person was killed and at least six were injured in a shooting at a Halloween party in Kansas City, Kansas, Monday.

An estimated 100 high-school aged children were at the Halloween party when at least one person started firing, according to CNN. The party was shared on social media and listed as “invite-only.” Local reports suggest that a group of unknown individuals arrived at the party and were asked to leave. In response, they randomly shot up the home before fleeing in a gray SUV.

The deceased party was found on the scene, while others were transported to local area hospitals, Fox News noted. Two of those wounded are in critical condition, KMBC reported(RELATED: Bad-A** Cat Gets Shot By Arrow, Believed To Have Taken Arrow Out By Himself)

“This is very unfortunate. This stuff in the community has to stop. There’s far too many guns out here. This was a party with high-school-age students. Like I said, everyone has guns now. We need to be smarter than this,” Police Chief Karl Oakman said following the events.

No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning, per KMBC.

“It’s disturbing. It’s unacceptable the number of people who are out here with guns. Regardless of what the situation is, we need to figure out how to manage our anger. Shooting people, taking the lives of people is not the answer. I mean, it’s just ridiculous. We have to figure out how to resolve conflict in a peaceful way,” Oakman noted.
