Rock star Kid Rock took to Twitter to criticize Oprah Winfrey for being a “fraud” for endorsing John Fetterman over his opponent Mehmet Oz in the Pennsylvania Senate race.

Mehmet Oz, more famously known as Dr. Oz, made his debut in the public eye on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” as an on-air health expert. He eventually hosted his own show in 2009, which was produced by Oprah’s production company, Harpo, according to Fox News.

“I’ll tell you all this, if I lived in Pennsylvania, I would have already cast my vote for John Fetterman for many reasons,” Oprah said, according to Fox, during a recent community event.

Kid Rock, who is a Republican, called Oprah a ‘fraud,’ saying that she ‘probably vetted’ Oz in the past and liked him, and is now ‘against him.’ According to Fox, Winfrey is a Democrat and had previously declined to make an endorsement of either candidate.

This is not the first time Kid Rock has had choice words for the television star and media mogul Oprah, when he told Tucker Carlson of Fox News that he would not apologize for a 2019 drunken rant criticizing Winfrey alongside daytime talk show host of “The View,” Joy Behar. Fetterman reacted on his Twitter page, saying, “It turns out Dr. Oz was not one of Oprah’s favorite things” to caption a clip of Oprah’s endorsement.

The Oz and Fetterman are almost neck-to-neck in Pennsylvania’s Senate race, according to the Hill. Oz leads slightly 48-46, but within the three-point margin of error.
