Wilson went on to thank the very special people that assisted her in welcoming her baby girl into the world.

“I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care,” Wilson said.

Wilson hadn’t made any prior public announcements indicating she was pursuing surrogacy.

The overjoyed new mom boasted her joy on social media. “Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!” she wrote to Instagram.(RELATED: Rep. Spanberger Surrogate Says Parents Who Don’t ‘Affirm’ Their Child’s Gender Identity Should Be ‘Looked Into’)
