Millie Bobby Brown revealed her interest in playing Britney Spears in a biopic during Tuesday’s episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show, but Spears wasn’t impressed with the idea.

“I see the scramble for words and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only,” Brown said, describing her desire to transform into Britney Spears for her next role. Spears took to Instagram to push back against the idea. “I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I’m not dead !!! Although it’s pretty fucking clear they preferred me dead 🙄🙄,” Spears said.

Millie Bobby Brown had a very interesting response when Barrymore asked for her perspective on future roles and projects.

“What would you like to do next, or even if it’s in ten years, what’s something on your bucket list as a producer and a filmmaker?” Barrymore asked Brown.

Brown responded without hesitation.

“I wanna play a real person and I think for me, Britney Spears,” Brown said. (RELATED: Drew Barrymore Had The Most Astonishing Reaction To Britney Spears’ New Song)

Barrymore prompted Brown to identify why she was swirling around the idea of taking on Spears’ persona.

“I think her story first of all resonates with me just growing up in the public eye, watching her videos watching interviews of her when she was younger,” Brown said.

In spite of her apparent interest in turning into Spears to tell her tale, it quickly became apparent that Brown didn’t have support from the music icon she wanted to portray.
