Washington, D.C., Attorney General Karl Racine has filed a civil complaint against Roger Goodell, Dan Snyder and the Washington Commanders for allegedly misleading D.C. residents about their toxic workplace environment.
Racine alleges that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Commanders owner Dan Snyder, colluded to lie about what they knew in regards to sexual harassment claims within the Commanders’ work environment over the years in order to protect the image of the franchise.
According to ESPN, Racine says he plans to subpoena Synder and former Commanders employees for clarity and accountability purposes as the case goes through the justice system.
“You can’t lie to D.C. residents in order to protect your image and profits and get away with it. No matter who you are,” Racine said.

From what Racine is alleging, Goodell enabled a culture run by Snyder that degraded women. If Goodell knew about the harassments within the organization and did nothing about it, he ought to be fired.
It’s already a foregone conclusion that Snyder is done as Washington’s owner after he gave Bank of America the rights to sell the team last week. This is a serious black eye for the NFL. If what Racine is alleging is true, Goodell’s position of power must be rescinded.
