Former San Diego Chargers player Adrian Dingle died Nov. 8 at the age of 45.
The Chargers picked up Dingle in the 1999 NFL draft after he was hailed for a record-breaking college football career with Clemson University, according to The New York Post. His fiancee, Amy Bell, posted an emotional message to her Instagram account, saying she was heartbroken over this loss, and referenced Dingle as being “my dude,” according to The New York Post. The couple were engaged to be married since 2019. Dingle’s cause of death was not publicly revealed.

An obituary was posted to the Shuler-Marshall Funeral Home in Holly Hill, South Carolina.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Adrian K. Dingle of Winthrop, MA, formerly of Holly Hill. Funeral arrangements are incomplete,” it said.
Dingle’s career high was in 2003, when he recorded six sacks and 16 total tackles for loss among his 37 tackles, according to the Clemson Tigers. He played a total of 70 games in the NFL, from 2000 to 2004. (RELATED: Former Green Bay Packer Tyrone Davis Dead At Age 50)

Friends, fans and family continue to mourn the loss of the talented athlete.
“RIP to my teammate @AdrianDingle,” former Charger Marcellus Wiley tweeted. “We were just hanging, laughing, swapping war stories, and talking family. Rest easy big dog!” Wiley said.
Dingle is survived by his fiancee and their two young children, their son Adrian age four, and their daughter Ava, age two.
