If you haven’t already seen “The Patient” on Hulu, clear your schedule for the next two days.

I haven’t seen Steve Carell in many bad shows or movies. He’s had some flops (e.g. “Space Force“), but for the most part, he’s a very dependable, talented actor who picks interesting scripts. However, he’s also known for going for the award-winning roles, and these days, you’ve gotta be pretty damn woke or preachy to win anything big.

When “The Patient” was first advertised on Hulu, I watched the trailer. It was fine. It didn’t draw me in, and I didn’t see anyone writing and raving about it either. I have no idea why, because this show is a special type of extra superb, and everyone needs to be watching it. Immediately.

The show is centered on Carell’s character, a psychotherapist, who is *SPOILER* kidnapped by one of his patients (Domhnall Gleeson) and forced to help cure Gleeson’s character of his serial killer tendencies. I started watching it a night or so ago, and I’ve only got two episodes left.

Each episode is only 20 minutes, and every single one is scripted perfectly. Not a single thing is out of place. You’ll laugh at times, but be holding your breath for the most part. (RELATED: The Conclusion Of ‘Better Call Saul’ Proves It’s The Best Television Series Of All Time)

Seriously, if the weather has turned on you this weekend, dedicate some time to escaping into this brilliant reimagining of the modern-day thriller. This one is sure to win some awards.
