The NFL’s first ever regular season game in Germany was a major success.

The crowd inside Allianz Arena was electric from start to finish. Near the end of the game, the Munich crowd joined in singing John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” in unison. It was a super cool moment that you don’t see happen everyday.

Sports continue to be a great place for people to come together. To see the fans with their arms wrapped around each other and singing like that warms my soul.

In a time when people appear to be divided, this gives me hope that humanity will be ok.

Prior to the Munich crowd belting out the country classic together, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were putting on a strong performance (maybe their best all season) to overcome the gritty Seattle Seahawks, 21-16. The GOAT was sharp all game and showed the Munich crowd, along with the rest of the NFL, why his Buccaneers are still well positioned to make a deep postseason run. Brady managed to move the chains for the Bucs offense all game long, while their defense held Geno Smith and the red-hot Seattle Seahawks offense in check. For the first time in a long while, the Buccaneers looked elite.

The NFL should play in Germany more often after seeing how passionate their fans are about the sport. The fans at Allianz Arena Saturday completely tore the house down and set the bar high for how electrified an NFL crowd should be every game.
