Texas Homeowner Shoots Alleged Invader Twice In The Chest, Killing Him

A Texas home owner fatally shot an alleged intruder after confronting him, according to authorities.

The incident unfolded around 6:00 p.m., Saturday, the San Antonio police department said, according to KSAT. Authorities said the young homeowner, who was in his 20s, found a man in his 30s near his back door. The homeowner confronted the man, who he said was attempting to break in, and fired two shots, hitting the suspect in the chest, police said, according to the report.

Officers responded and attempted to perform CPR on the individual until EMS arrived. The alleged intruder was pronounced dead on the scene after succumbing to his injuries.

The homeowner told police he thought the man he fatally shot was an intruder, according to KENS.

There were several adults and young children at the home at the time of the incident, the report noted.
