Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” said Wednesday that if Republicans talk about Biden, they win.

Scarborough spent part of the show discussing former President Donald Trump’s announcement Tuesday night that he is running for the 2024 presidential nomination, questioning whether Trump’s bid was the right move for the GOP.

“When we’re talking about Trump, Democrats win. When we’re talking about Biden, Republicans win. And Trump always shifts it to him and now he’s done it yet again for Herschel Walker, a guy that he selected. A guy who he’s scamming off of, making money off of, and now a guy, he stepped in when Republicans begged him not to, and now it’s probably going to, well, probably going to elect Warnock,” Scarborough said.

“Well, we’ll see,” co-host Mika Brzezsinki chimed in. “Turns out he’s not yet done inflicting damage on the Republican Party.” (RELATED: Schumer Says GOP Will ‘Keep Losing’ If They ‘Embrace MAGA’)

Trump made the announcement at Mar-a-Lago, marking his third presidential announcement. Trump brought up what he felt are his first term successes while pointing to record-high inflation, the border crisis and record-breaking gas prices under the Biden administration.

“Our country needs a truly great leader, and we need a truly great leader now,” Trump said. “We need a leader that can bring back our jobs, can bring back our manufacturing, can bring back our military, take care of our vets. Our vets have been abandoned!” Trump said.

President Joe Biden was asked whether he had a reaction to Trump’s announcement and said “not really” before turning away.
