A 10-year-old Missouri girl named Miracle helped her mother deliver her little sister Oct. 23.

Miracle Moore was at home with her mom, Viola Fair, and five-year-old sister when Viola went into labor three weeks early, according to KMOV. Miracle called 911 and helped deliver her baby sister Jayla.

“She was in a lot of pain and I felt bad so I wanted to help her,” Miracle told the outlet.

“It was definitely a miracle because once I had the baby, she came out, I couldn’t really grab her and pick her up and then Miracle came and she wrapped her up in a towel,” Viola Fair said, according to KSDK. “She wiped her off and rubbed her back a little bit so she could cry. So, she was really helpful. I am very thankful.” (RELATED: Woman Gives Birth On Flight Over Atlantic Ocean)

Dispatcher Scott Stranghoener walked Miracle through the delivery, KMOV reported. He told the outlet he believes children are typically best at calling 911 because they’re better at listening to directions than adults.

“She did amazing. She never questioned anything,” Strangheoner said. “She did exactly as she was asked and we’re left with a beautiful baby girl.”

The 911 center gave Miracle two awards for helping her mother.
