“Yellowstone” star Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler in the iconic series, is reportedly heading over to another Taylor Sheridan show in the near future.

Hauser teased his inclusion in “1883: The Bass Reeves Story” while in conversation with Entertainment Tonight, which quickly noticed that the Sheridan-made star was sporting slightly different facial hair. “I’m switching it up on ya,” Hauser told the outlet. “This is for a role that I did in ‘1883.’”

In one sentence, Hauser confirmed that “1883: The Bass Reeves Story” will likely be heading our way pretty soon if he “did” the role already. When prodded for more information on the project, Hauser laughed and said, “No ma’am,” according to ET.

“1883: The Bass Reeves Story” is one of many shows currently in development at Paramount’s newly christened “Sheridan-verse.” The show stars David Oyelowo as the title character, a very real former slave-turned-solider who went on to become one of the first black U.S. marshals.

Before we get to see “1883: The Bass Reeves Story,” we’ve still got to get through the already superb “Tulsa King,” which started in mid-November, and we’ve got the next installment of the “Yellowstone” prequels, “1923,” hitting our screens in December.
