“The View” panel previewed the debacle at Monday’s White House press briefing, but spent the entire segment praising White House senior medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci instead.

The program’s opening credits aired a snippet of the debacle that occurred as Daily Caller White House correspondent Diana Glebova attempted to ask Fauci about the origins of COVID during his final briefing. The footage showed White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre snapping at Today News Africa senior White House correspondent Simon Ateba as he confronted her on refusing to call on Glebova.

The opening credits implied that the conflict would be a part of the panel’s “hot topics.”

The co-hosts spent the entire segment praising Fauci for allegedly “saving lives” during the AIDS epidemic and COVID-19 pandemic and warning that people will die without receiving a booster shot. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg raged at conservatives who said they would rather get COVID than listen to Fauci.

“Let me explain something to you as somebody who just come off it again, and not a nice light because I came off a tough ass COVID, okay? You don’t want to get this, this is not funny,” Goldberg said. “You don’t want this, this will kill you. What’s the matter with you people?”

Co-host Joy Behar said the virus did not “kill” Goldberg because she is boosted. She claimed you “could die” without the shot.

“He’s spent his entire life saving people’s lives. During seven administration, he saved people’s lives during the AIDs epidemic,” co-host Sunny Hostin said. “The holidays in our family is now a really sad time because both of my husband’s parents died of COVID within three days of each other. Within three days and within a week of their birthdays. There were no vaccines…For shame, for shame for people who say they shouldn’t get anything.”

Behar said that conservatives want to “own the libs” by dying from COVID, and co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said it was an “honor” to work with Fauci while she served as the strategic communications director in former President Donald Trump’s administration. She also argued that he cannot be blamed for the lockdowns in blue states, though he repeatedly cheered on school closures and lockdowns. During the briefing, Glebova repeatedly yelled out a question about the origin of COVID-19, but Fauci and Jean-Pierre refused to call on her. Jean-Pierre then confronted her, saying she will not be called on any reporter that continues to “yell.” Glebova told her that she consistently calls on the same reporters.

“Hold on one second, we have a process here. I’m not calling on people who yell. You’re being disrespectful to your colleagues and you’re being disrespectful to our guest. I will not call on you if you yell, and also you’re taking time off the clock,” she said.

New York Post White House correspondent Stephen Nelson and Ateba came to Glebova’s defense.

“If you’re going to hold a press briefing, you need to call on people across the room,” Ateba said. “She has a valid question. She’s asking about the origin of COVID … Fauci’s the best person to answer this question.”

“I hear the question, but we’re not doing this the way you want it,” Jean-Pierre said. “This is disrespectful. Simon, I’m done. I’m done with you right now. You’re taking time away from your colleagues.”
