BIDEN HAS THANKSGIVING PHONE TROUBLE… BREITBART: Watch: Joe and Jill Biden’s Awkward Call into the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (VIDEO)

Reporter Dylan Dreyer said, “Hello, Mr. President.”

The Bidens could be heard talking to each other.

Dreyer said, “I don’t think I can hear you. Can you hear me, Mr. President?”

Dreyer waited about 17 seconds to get a response as the Bidens continued to talk inaudibly.

Dreyer said, “Hello, Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. President. Are you there?”

The president said, “We are here.”

Dreyer said, “I was so worried this call wasn’t going to go through. How are you?”

The president said, “We’re fine. We’re fine watching your parade. You are doing a good job.”

AMERICANS IN THE RED ON BLACK FRIDAY… CNBC: Inflation boosts U.S. household spending by $433 a month, on average, Moody’s finds

The average American household is spending $433 more a month to buy the same goods and services it did a year ago, according to a Moody’s Analytics analysis of October inflation data.

While down slightly from than the $445 monthly figure in September, stubbornly high inflation is stretching the typical budget.

“Despite weaker-than-expected inflation in October, households are still feeling the squeeze from rising consumer prices,” said Bernard Yaros, an economist at Moody’s.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) will allow retirement plan fiduciaries to invest funds into companies that promote climate change and other environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, according to a Tuesday DOL release.

The DOL’s decision overturns a Trump administration rule that barred companies from evaluating ESG factors when making investment decisions, stating that the rule “unnecessarily restrained” the fiduciaries’ ability to weigh ESG factors that benefit plan participants financially. Despite the DOL’s belief that ESG will not hinder financial gains for those who have paid into the retirement plans, the new rule “betrays” the interests of those who have funded the accounts and places “enormous pressure” on fiduciaries to focus on ESG factors over more significant factors, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

MORE EVIDENCE BIDEN ADMIN URGED CANADIAN COVID TYRANNY… NY POST: US officials pressured Canada to stop ‘Freedom Convoy,’ new testimony reveals

Top Biden administration officials pressed their Canadian counterparts to clear truckers blockading parts of the United States’s northern border during protests in January.

A public inquiry into the Canadian government’s decision to use emergency powers to clear the “Freedom Convoy” protesters revealed on Thursday that frantic phone calls were placed by Washington to Ottawa in an effort to open up choked-off supply lines.

“They are very, very, very worried,” Canadian Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland wrote in an email to her staff after a Feb. 10 phone call from White House National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, according to Politico.

YEP, MUSK CONFIRMS: TWITTER WAS TARGETING CONSERVATIVES… JUST THE NEWS: Musk confirms Twitter censors only targeted conservatives

Twitter owner Elon Musk confirmed this week that the social media platform’s prior operators had used its censorship policies as a vehicle to de-platform only conservative viewpoints.

Conservative activist Dinesh D’Souza had addressed recent headlines announcing the return of prominent right-wing accounts to the platform. He asserted that the absence of comparable stories involving left-wing figures being reinstated confirmed that the platform had disfavored conservative positions.

“We don’t hear much about Democrats and leftists being let back on Twitter. Why?” he asked. “Because they were never kicked off in the first place. Their lies and misinformation simply escaped all scrutiny. Censorship has been deployed as a one-way operation against conservatives.”

D’Souza tagged Musk in the post, prompting him to succinctly reply “correct.”

ELON SET TO RELEASE THE PRISONERS… CNN: Elon Musk says he will begin restoring previously banned Twitter accounts next week

Elon Musk said Thursday that he will begin restoring most previously banned accounts on Twitter starting next week, in his most wide-reaching move yet to undo the social media platform’s policy of permanently suspending users who repeatedly violated its rules.

“The people have spoken,” Musk tweeted on Thursday. “Amnesty begins next week. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”

The announcement comes after Musk on Wednesday polled his followers about whether to offer “general amnesty to suspended accounts, provided that they have not broken the law or engaged in egregious spam.”

The poll, which closed around 12:45 pm ET on Thursday, finished with 72.4% voting in favor of the proposition and 27.6% voting against. The poll garnered more than 3 million votes on Twitter.

2024 INTEL… ROUNDUP: How The Top 2024 Republican Contenders View Ukraine

The top likely contenders for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination vary in their ideas towards providing support to Ukraine, with some pushing for more interventionist policies, others advocating for a peace deal, and a few keeping quiet about their plans.

Former Trump officials Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley — all likely 2024 presidential candidates — have stood out in the Republican Party’s response to Ukraine by pushing back against isolationism and campaigning for more aid.

The U.S. has currently provided Ukraine with over $60 billion since the start of Russia’s invasion in February.

Former Vice President Pence said that the party has “no room” for “apologists to Putin,” and that the U.S. should provide “generosity” until “Russia relents and until peace is restored.”
