Billboard honored Kanye “Ye” West by naming him the Top Christian Artist of 2022 shortly after he appeared on InfoWars with Alex Jones and praised Adolf Hitler.

This is the second straight year that West holds the top spot in the Gospel category, joining CeCe Winans and Maverick City Music, who also snagged top spots in their respective categories. West concurrently holds the position of Top Male Artist of the Year on the Billboard chart as well.

This announcement comes on the heels of West’s appearance on InfoWars with Alex Jones, during which he expressed that he sees “good things about Hitler.”

“West reigns again mostly due to the staying power of his second faith-based album, Donda, which is No. 1 on the year-end Top Gospel Albums list,” Billboard wrote on their website.

Billboard broke down the criteria that was assessed to determine the sales and streaming success of each artist, and indicated calculations are based on a November-to-November basis each year. West released an LP titled “Jesus is King” as well as “Hurricane” and “Praise God” which also skyrocketed to the top of Billboard’s gospel music charts.

At approximately the same time that West was publicly recognized for his contribution to Christian music, he was speaking on InfoWars and singing the praises of Hitler.

“I love everyone, and Jewish people are not going to tell me: You can love us and you can love what we’re doing to you with the contracts, and you can love what we’re pushing with the pornography,” West told Jones. (RELATED: ‘I Like Hitler’: Kanye West Appears On InfoWars)

West also took credit for popularizing the anti-Semitic term during the show. “No one in high school knew what anti-Semitic meant until Ye made it popular,” he said.

West has recently lost major business contracts as a result of his anti-Semitic rants on social media and has also recently lost his billionaire status, according to Forbes.
