Five family members, including two young children, and an animal died from sharp force injuries inside a home in the Chicago suburbs this week in what appears to be a murder-suicide, CBS reported.

The victims are Lilia Kisliak, 67, Andrei Kisliak, 39, Vera Kisliak, 36, Vivian Kisliak, 6, and Amilia Kisliak, 4, WFIN reported. Authorities did not share who caused the injuries or what weapon was used, WFIN reported.

“It appears that the cause of death for those decedents are all sharp force injuries,” Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek said Thursday, according to Fox Chicago.

“There were no survivors and we were not made aware of any information that indicated otherwise,” Buffalo Grove Police Chief Brian Budds said, according to the outlet.

However, Vera Kisliak had sought protection orders in August and September and filed for divorce from Andrei Kisliak in July, according to Lake County records, Fox Chicago reported.

Andrei Kisliak, was charged for violating an order of protection in September, CBS 2 reported. He reportedly pleaded not guilty to violating that order of protection. (RELATED: Two Children Found Stabbed To Death And Hidden In Bathtub In NYC Homeless Shelter. Police Arrest Mother)

Vera Kisliak’s co-worker called the police Wednesday which led to the discovery of the dead family at the 2800 block of Acacia Terrace in Buffalo Grove, WFIN reported.

“Today is a very sad day for our community as we continue to process this unthinkable event,” Budds said, according to Fox Chicago.
