As a fan of professional wrestling and a fan of current WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt, this story really sucks.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Famer Barry Windham, who is 62 years old, suffered a heart attack Dec. 2, according to multiple reports. Windham was at an airport in Atlanta when he had a “massive” heart attack and went to the ICU.

With Windham not having health insurance, a GoFundMe has been set up to assist the family as they’re struggling to cover the entirety of the “life-saving” hospital trip. The Windham family has raised $22,016 at press time.

Mika Rotunda, Windham’s niece, wrote on the GoFundMe page:

“With deep sadness I regret to inform that my uncle, WWE Hall of Famer, Barry Windham suffered a massive heart attack Friday evening. As a family, we are impatiently waiting to hear that he will be okay. But as of now, the future is uncertain.”

This sucks, dude.

I’m a huge fan of Bray Wyatt (who is Barry’s nephew), and over time, it ended up making me a pretty big fan of the Rotunda and Windham family dynasty in WWE, so when I saw the news, I was instantly bummed out. (RELATED: A Brawl Broke Out Between A Bunch Of Women, And It Screams WWE Attitude Era)

I’ll be making a donation to Windham’s GoFundMe to help cover hospital bills, you should too. Hey, we all know health coverage isn’t cheap in this country, and with him not having insurance, it’ll be that much worse.

Here’s to a speedy recovery, Barry.
