This is actually quite an interesting story about James Harden, because you could psychologically break this down.

The Philadelphia 76ers suffered a heartbreaking double-overtime 132-123 loss to the Houston Rockets Dec. 5, and like that wasn’t interesting enough to talk about, James Harden made the situation even more intriguing after he went out to party following the Sixers defeat. And not only did he party, this man was hanging out with rapper Lil Baby and a boatload of cash.

For the game, Harden compiled a stat line of 21 points, seven assists and four rebounds, which at first glance, looks pretty decent. And then you see that he went an awful 4-19 from the floor, managing to pull in 21 points from hitting four three-pointers and nine free throws. Everything else was garbage.

And how did Harden respond?

By celebrating Lil Baby’s 28th birthday while surrounded by paper.

I do want to say though, in James Harden’s defense, he didn’t look like he was all that excited and interested in partying. Watch the video again, look at how miserable that man looks to be there. See what I mean about how you can psychologically break this whole thing down? Now, can you criticize Harden for not having the mindset of “wrong place, wrong time”?

Sure, that’s fair game.

It’s probably not the best look to be out at parties hanging out with rappers with mountains of racks all around you after taking a double-overtime L. But I’m just saying — he doesn’t look all that interested.

Still, it’s got to irritate you as a Sixers fan that he’s even in this position.

Damn, James.
