Atlanta police announced Monday that they arrested a 23-year-old man Monday for stabbing a 77-year-old grandmother to death.
Police arrested Antonio Brown for the murder of Eleanor Bowles, who died Saturday night “multiple lacerations” at her home in Atlanta’s upscale Buckhead district. Brown allegedly stabbed Bowles to death after she caught him trying to steal her car. (RELATED: City Councilman Who Voted To Withhold Funds From The Police Has Car Stolen By Kids In Broad Daylight)

Happened about two miles from where we lived on Paces Ferry Rd. Democrat ruled Atlanta is becoming a crime ridden hell hole with swarms of feral fatherless males in all quadrants. https://t.co/jPLiO9orlD

“We put out a call just yesterday asking for help identifying a person of interest in camera footage,” Mayor Andre Dickens said in a Monday press conference. After seeing the photos from Connect Atlanta, a camera network city police use to help them identify suspects, Bowles’ neighbor recognized Brown and called the police.
“The killing of Ms. Bowles is understandably rocking our community,” the mayor said in the press conference. “When something like this happens, the entire village is impacted and the entire village is called to support.”
In 2021, Buckhead City Committee CEO Bill White announced that Buckhead had filed paperwork to secede from the city of Atlanta due to rising crime rates. Polling suggests that a majority of Buckhead residents support the move, but a secession referendum has not yet been scheduled.
