Damn, Darrell.

Clipper Darrell, who has been a superfan of the Los Angeles Clippers and a huge presence at games for two decades now, was knocked out by a Crypto.com Arena security guard on Dec. 12, according to a video obtained by TMZ.

Darrell, who was wearing blue in the video, was seen arguing with a security guard dressed in red during the ClippersBoston Celtics game. Video shows Clipper Darrell — whose real name is Darrell Bailey — attempting to walk past a security guard who was blocking his path. The guard sidesteps to block Darrell and shoves him back, at which point Darrell appears to swing at the guard. He then receives a punch in the face and goes down like a sack of potatoes.

The incident began when the security guard was directing Bailey and other fans to particular exits nearby, according to Crypto.com Arena President Lee Zeidman.

Darrell was taken to a hospital and the employee has since been fired and arrested, according to TMZ, which cites Zeidman.

I like Clipper Darrell. You can’t help but to like somebody who is incredibly passionate about a team that never wins, but damn, this was embarrassing for that man. It also seemed completely justified for that security guard. (RELATED: Charles Barkley Came So Close To Getting A Tattoo On Live TV)

I don’t blame that security guard for punching at all; I would’ve done the same thing since it appears that Darrell swung first. Quite frankly, you deserve to get knocked the hell out if you took the first swing.

Hey, at least Darrell’s team won that night.
