A suspect is still at large after allegedly shooting and killing a man in front of his 9-year-old daughter at a deli in New York City’s Inwood neighborhood Thursday.

Video of the incident shows a man wearing a green jacket shouting at someone from the door of the deli. At one point, the man leaves, only to return seconds later. He then appears to charge at someone outside the frame with what seems to be a gun.

“I heard the shots, boom boom, twice. I’m still in shock,” another customer, who took the victim’s daughter to the back of the store when the argument began, told CBS News. After they heard the shots, the woman said the little girl began screaming, “Oh my god, what happened? My dad, my dad,” she recalled the little girl saying, per the outlet.

The witness told CBS she wasn’t sure what the argument was about, but called the shooting senseless.”It’s really sad. Today that little girl lost her dad in a deli for a stupid argument,” she said.

Staff called the deli owner Ahmed Amuntesr after the incident. He devastated to see that the victim was one of his regular customers, 30-year old Tykeem Berry, CBS reported. “I feel so bad,” he said.

Afterward, Amuntesr tried to comfort Berry’s daughter and shield her from the horrifying scene. “I told her, ‘You’re father is gonna be good.’ We keep her inside. She didn’t see nothing. So everybody from the community, they come to help the girl,” he told CBS News.

Video footage captured the suspect running eastward on Nagle Avenue in Manhattan.
