Police arrested a Tennessee mother Thursday after she allegedly engaged in carjacking multiple times. At least one time she used her 5-year-old child for cover after she fired a gun, according to police.

Bethany Wilson, 24, is accused of stealing at least three vehicles at gunpoint and was arrested after crashing one on the interstate, according to WZTV. Clarksville Police Department first responded to a call at a Minit Mart shortly before 5:00 p.m. Thursday, when a woman claimed her Nissan Juke was stolen by Wilson, who pointed a gun at her while she was filling up her car with gas.

Around 30 minutes later, officers were called out after shots were fired during another carjacking involving a Mercedes Benz, WZTV continued. The victim said a white female robbed him and used her child as a shield after she fired a shot at him. The vehicle was found later that day in Cheatham County.

The police then followed a trail to a Ford pickup, which was also stolen and subsequently crashed on the interstate, WZTV noted. (RELATED: REPORT: Coroner Says He Cried, Couldn’t Eat For A Week In Most Heinous Crime He’s Ever Seen)

Wilson was found at a Days Inn later Thursday night and was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery, WZTV continued. Her child was with her and safe at the time of the arrest.
