Boxing champion Gervonta Davis was reportedly arrested for domestic violence in Florida on Tuesday.

Documents reportedly indicate that the boxer — known to fans by his moniker, “Tank” — was taken to Broward County jail, where he is being held for the battery charge, according to TMZ. The incident reportedly unfolded at a residence in Parkland at 1:25 pm, and the boxing star remains in police custody as of Wednesday afternoon.

Police said Davis slapped a woman with and left her with an abrasion on the inside of her upper lip, according to court documents procured by TMZ. The victim was struck on the right side of her head “with a closed hand type slap,” the documents allege.

The documents indicated Davis “did actually and intentionally touch and strike” the woman “against her will,” according to TMZ. The report also indicated Davis “did intentionally cause bodily harm to her.”

The identity of the victim in Tuesday’s alleged attack has not been publicly released. (RELATED: REPORT: Former Disney Channel Star Orlando Brown Arrested For Alleged Domestic Violence)
