Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell reportedly entered a treatment facility after separating from his wife sometime in December.

Sources told PageSix that Bell’s wife, Janet Von Schmeling, 28, has reportedly “had enough” of the “Drake & Josh” star and moved back to Florida with their son. Bell, 36, was spotted in a vape shop parking lot in early December, huffing balloons in his car while his young son was in the back seat, even though the actor was technically on probation for child endangerment, according to Yahoo News.

Bell pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal attempted child endangerment in 2021 and disseminating matters harmful to juveniles. The latter charge stemmed from 2017, when he met a girl, now an adult, and sent her “inappropriate social media messages,” PageSix continued. He received a two-year probation sentence and 200 hours of community service.

Von Schmeling and Bell met in 2013 and were married in 2018, PageSix noted. “They had some incredible beautiful times before. He needs to focus on being healthy and they’ll be great co-parents in the future,” a source told the outlet. “It’s a bad moment in time for Drake. But he is a great dad when he is healthy and sober.”

Bell’s former co-star, Josh Peck, opened up about his previous troubles with addiction in March 2021. Peck, who once weighed nearly 300 pounds, said his experimentation with drugs and alcohol “really was a buffet.”
