The White House confirmed Thursday that a second tranche of classified documents had been found in President Joe Biden’s garage.

Biden’s lawyers recovered the classified documents during a Wednesday search of his Delaware residences, Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president, said in a statement.

“During the review, the lawyers discovered among personal and political papers a small number of additional Obama-Biden administration records with classified markings,” Sauber said. “All but one of these documents were found in storage space in the President’s Wilmington residence garage. One document consisting of one page was discovered among stored materials in an adjacent room.”

The search of Biden’s residence was conducted after other classified documents were discovered in the Penn Biden Center, Biden’s think tank in Washington, D.C. His lawyers announced the discovery of the first round of documents on Monday, although they were originally found in November, less than a week before the midterm elections. “Classified documents next to your Corvette, what were you thinking?” Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Biden on Thursday.

The president defended himself, saying the vehicle “is in a locked garage, so it’s not like it’s sitting out on the street.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told a reporter that the documents are under review by the DOJ, and that “we’re just not going to get ahead of the process from here.” She did not respond to questions about why the discovery of the first round of documents at the think tank was announced months after the fact, and whether the timing of the announcement was related to the midterm elections in November.

Biden has repeatedly said that he’s cooperating with the Department of Justice and that he was “surprised” by the discovery of the documents. He’s also said he doesn’t know what information the documents contain.
