Former UFC champion Conor McGregor and actor Jake Gyllenhaal are starring in the upcoming remake of the 1989 classic “Road House,” and the images from the set look absolutely wild.

Apparently, talks to remake the film have been going on for years, and now it’s finally happening, Screen Rant reported. Gyllenhaal will star, likely in the role of “James Dalton,” originally portrayed by the late icon Patrick Swayze.

This will be McGregor’s acting debut, and I cannot even begin to imagine what the fighter’s acting coach (we pray he has one) has had to go through to make this thing come to life. I would further imagine that the remake has a pretty high budget attached for these two men to take part, so let’s hope McGregor has put his famous ego aside to step into whatever role they’ve cooked up for him.

McGregor released a few shots of his character, and even though they’re just still photos and don’t show how he’ll deliver his line, the Irishman certainly has the right look and power behind him to make an impact. Photos of both Gyllenhaal and McGregor hanging out on set together were shared by a photographer, and they do look pretty great on screen together. The story is far from a classic remake, having been called a “reimagining” by director Doug Liman, Screen Rant noted. A handful of other actors have joined the cast, but the only one I recognized was J.D. Pardo, star of the short-lived “Sons of Anarchy” spin-off Mayans M.C. Just the fact that McGregor is dipping his toe in acting already makes this movie insane, and I am so here for it!
