A newly released 911 audio recording captured the moments in which actor Jeremy Renner was losing consciousness after a serious snowplow accident Jan. 1.

The audio recording captured a male speaking with the female 911 dispatcher about Renner’s condition on the scene. He continued to give the dispatcher information about Renner’s deteriorating condition as medics rushed to help.

“How’s he doing?” the dispatcher asked. “Shallow breaths. A lot of pain,” the man replied. “He’s conscious. We got him covered in blankets.”

Within seconds it became apparent that Renner’s condition had dramatically worsened. “His head’s covered … Don’t be drifting off,” the man said.

The dispatcher attempted to assess the severity of the situation by asking additional questions.

“Is he starting to kind of drift off into sleep?” she asked.

The urgency of the situation became clear and the man’s tone quickly changed.

“Yeah. Stay awake,” the man pleaded. (RELATED: Listen To Frantic 911 Call For Lisa Marie Presley’s Cardiac Arrest)

The snowplow crushed Renner’s chest and gave him serious leg wound and severe bleeding from both his head and his leg, according to TMZ.

He was airlifted to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition for several days.

Renner took to social media to update fans on his health as his condition improved. He posted a bloody selfie from his hospital bed and later shared a video of his mother and sister gently bathing him.

The Marvel actor cheekily responded to a tweet about his favorite television series and updated fans that he has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
