Oh my … I’m loving the hilarious pettiness here.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills are turning into one hell of a rivalry after the Jan. 22 NFL Divisional Playoffs game. As we all know, the Bengals upset the Bills (in a game that I accurately predicted, by the way) and canceled the hyped-up potential AFC Championship matchup between the Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, which would have been held in Atlanta as a neutral game.

Well, the hatred continued after the contest, with trash taking place between players on social media. It started with Cincinnati cornerback Eli Apple rubbing the Buffalo loss in Bills fans’ faces, which eventually led to their wide receiver Stefon Diggs and defensive end Shaq Lawson trading blows with Apple.

Now things have gotten so intense with this brand-new rivalry that front offices are now getting involved. During a press conference, Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane was asked about the Bengals and how they built their team. If you remember, Cincinnati took quarterback Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and then in next year’s edition, they took wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase with the fourth pick.

Beane, in such a petty way that is hilariously accurate, said that his Bills aren’t able to do what the Bengals did because he doesn’t “want to suck bad enough to have to get Ja’Marr Chase.”

Just check out this gold:

Okay, so before I get into my take on this entire situation, I just want to point out that I absolutely despite the Buffalo Bills being a Miami Dolphins fan, and that I’m a huge fan of Joe Burrow and will personally be rooting for the swagged out Cincinnati Bengals the rest of the way to win the Super Bowl.

But holy shit … Not only was Brandon Beane hilariously petty here, he was absolutely on point as well.

You can tell with how hesitant he was that he didn’t necessarily want to word it that way, but he was so locked in with what he was saying, that he just said it — it just so happens that people like me found it funny as (bleep). I could even picture other Bills executives having a chuckle with him after that whole thing was over. It’s funny, I don’t blame ’em.

But it’s not just funny, let’s be honest here, Beane is right. And like I said, I’m saying this as a (temporary) Bengals fan. [RELATED: Company Perfectly Trolls Buffalo Bills With Hilarious And Swagged-Out T-Shirt Design (And It’s Also Helping Charity)]

Before they got Burrow and Chase, Cincinnati was horrific. In 2020, they compiled a 4-11-1 record and tallied 2-14 in 2019. As you see, it took some really bad football for the Bengals to get where they’re at. In the past 10 years, you know the worst record that Buffalo has put up?

6-10, and they only have two other losing seasons on top of that. Most of them have been winning years.

Hilariously petty and 100% accurate … I have to give Brandon Beane some credit here.
