How the mighty have fallen.

After the University of North Carolina (UNC) Tar Heels took yet another loss — this time to Wake Forest, 92-85, trailing by as much as 26 at one point — UNC’s locker room door stayed closed for 37 minutes. After that, only sports information director Steve Kirschner and athletic director Bubba Cunningham came out.

A few minutes later North Carolina’s senior center Armando Bacot emerged from the locker room. Bacot spoke with the media for around six minutes. Each second seemed to come from the heart, and with blunt honesty at that.

Whatever reporters wanted to know, Bacot told them, not holding back about his desire to win.

“We’ve got the talent to do it. Me, Caleb, RJ and Leaky, like we came back for a reason. And this isn’t it. And I mean, it starts with us four,” Bacot said. “I mean, really, I just told everybody, ‘I’m not gonna quit. If you want to be here, be there on Thursday. If not just go home.'”

Bacot also spoke about his love for the University of North Carolina and the apparent lack of “pride” his teammates have. (RELATED: High School Basketball Player Dies After Suffering Massive Heart Attack During Game)

“Because, I mean, to go to a university like this and just have no pride. I mean, I’m not perfect either. But I love this university and to just go out there and put together that performance is inexcusable,” he said.

Armando Bacot kept it G — you can’t deny that.
