Tom Brady proved his 2023 Valentine’s Day is far different than those of the past when he posted a cryptic message to his Instagram story on Tuesday.
Brady and his supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bündchen announced they finalized their divorce in Oct. 2022, and the newly retired NFL star seems to be feeling the sting on a day that celebrates love and relationships. “Love is not a transaction; it is a certain exuberance and sweetness of your emotion,” Brady wrote to his Instagram story. Seemingly in a deeply emotional state, Brady also tagged the author of that line, yoga expert Sadhguru.

The post reads like a direct slap at Bündchen, and the reference to a “transaction” suggests his career and finances may have been sore spots in their marriage.
Brady and Bündchen haven’t publicly declared the reason for their split, but the ‘sting’ Brady is feeling may very be related to the fact that he’s been hot and cold about where his priorities lie in recent months. He retired from football only to return once again, and then before long, he made a secondary retirement announcement.

Brady was rumored to have sparked a relationship with model and influencer Veronika Rajek, but the two have not been publicly spotted together.
By all accounts it seems Brady is alone this Valentine’s Day, but if his cryptic message reads true, he’d rather be miserable and alone than part of a relationship that feels like a monetary transaction.
Bündchen’s Valentine’s Day seems to be full of love — of the furry variety — and she seems perfectly content with that.
“Pure love!! I am convinced they are little angels on Earth. Happy Valentine’s Day to all! ❤️❤️❤️” she wrote to her Instagram page, alongside a series of photographs with her dogs.
Brady and Bündchen share two children, a daughter named Vivian and their son Benjamin and they continue to co-parent by residing in close proximity to one another. Brady also fathered his son Jack with actress Bridget Moynahan.
