Video of a car chase in Washington state shows a suspect’s boots falling off after local police tased him as he was running from the scene.

On Monday, Kent police officers got into a high-speed car chase with a 31-year-old robbery suspect, KIRO 7 reported.

Footage shot from the King County Sheriff’s Office helicopter shows the chain of events that eventually led to the suspect being tased in the middle of a public road. The suspect, driving a gray sedan, was veering in and out of traffic at high speeds as police pursued him.

Kent Police eventually ended their chase after the sheriff’s office helicopter, Guardian One, took over the pursuit.

Guardian One video shows the suspect driving over spike strips and crashing into oncoming traffic before the unidentified suspect gets out of his vehicle and allegedly attempts to carjack a nearby vehicle. After the suspect was unsuccessful, he began running away from the scene, the outlet reported.

However, Kent Police was able to apprehend the man, tasering him in a way that led to his boots falling off his feet as he was on the ground. (RELATED: Suspect Goes On Rampage, Evades Cops In 90-Minute Car Chase)

The suspect was a Kent resident and was arrested on several counts of first-degree robbery, KIRO 7 reported. He is expected to face more charges.
