Mad respect for John Schneider — this dude is such a bad ass.

John Schneider, who is the manager for the Toronto Blue Jays, saved a woman from choking while eating with his wife, Jess, in a restaurant, according to the team’s social media.

After noticing that a woman was choking on her food at a nearby table, Schneider immediately went to the rescue and performed the Heimlich maneuver on her, which Schneider said he learned while in school.

“I learned it in about sixth grade and hadn’t thought about it since,” said Schneider, according to MLB’s official website. “So it was like: ‘I think I remember how to do this?’ I’m a bigger guy, so I think that helped a little bit. But no, I hadn’t thought about the Heimlich maneuver since grade six.”

And after saving the woman?

He was rewarded with a free beer, which he put down like a boss to calm his nerves.

Saving women and chuggin’ beers — a true American.

By default, Canada should be forced to give up John Schneider to an American team, because quite frankly, our neighbors up north don’t deserve to have such a bad ass baseball manager. And with how much Canadians pissed me off during WWE‘s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view with their Sami Zayn bullshit, hey, I’m all for it. By the way, love how our tribal chief Roman Reigns absolutely floored Sami to retain the belts.

Sorry, Canada. Victory just isn’t meant for you. Well, except for hockey.
