Shoutout to my man Patrick Beverley! And shout out to the Chi!

Free agent guard Patrick Beverley is completing a deal to join the Chicago Bulls, according to his agent Kevin Bradbury, who broke the news to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski on Feb. 20.

Everything will likely be finalized between the two parties as soon as Feb. 21, as Chicago is expected to waive center Tony Bradley to make a roster spot for Beverley, sources told ESPN. Bradley is expected to receive interest from multiple teams looking for depth at the center position while in the free agent market.

Beverley is from Chicago and attended John Marshall High School. This season for the Los Angeles Lakers, he averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 45 starts before ultimately being traded to and bought out by the Orlando Magic.

So as I’m sitting here writing this blog and looking through all of these cool tweets, I had Lil Baby and Kirk Franklin’s “We Win” from the “Space Jam: A New Legacy” soundtrack blasting in the background, and oh my God, it went so perfectly with this triumphant return back home for Patrick Beverley.

Listen to the song and look through everything on this blog — tell me you don’t get the most incredible glorious vibe:

I’ve always liked Patrick Beverley, but he made me an even bigger fan of him with his podcast on Barstool Sports. I can’t help but to be happy for Bev — my man is going home! (RELATED: Mortgage Tycoon Mat Ishbia Buys Phoenix Suns For Record $4 Billion)

Shoutout to Chicago!
