Famous country singer Shania Twain says she’s inspired by drag queens and draws some of her creativity from them.

Twain opened up about her adoration for drag queens, saying she “so admires the talent there” during a February interview with GLAAD. She praised drag queens for their makeup skills and touted their freedom of expression.

“I think we need this inspiration, we need drag queens to share their talent with us,” Twain said.

Twain admitted to being impressed by the fashion and cosmetic skills that drag queens possess.

“First of all, it takes a lot of courage. I mean, fashion in itself takes courage,” she said. “You’re taking on a lot.”

The famous country singer continued to praise drag queens for their aesthetic beauty.

“The ability to put their own makeup on and do such a beautiful job. I’ve learned a lot from drag queens,” she said. (RELATED: ‘I Don’t Need To Hide Behind The Clothes’: Shania Twain Poses Nude At Age 57)

“I watched their tutorials because … no, I’ve never seen such transformation in some of these talents that their faces go through … It’s very impressive and their fashion, I don’t know, I’m very inspired by it,” Twain said to GLAAD.

Twain’s love for the dramatic flair possessed by drag queens didn’t stop at mere beauty, but continued as an appreciation for their entire lifestyle.

“Drag shows are so fun,” Twain said.

“I’ve been to a couple of drag shows, big ones in Las Vegas. Obviously RuPaul’s Drag Race,” she added.
