Back in 2021, Morgan Wallen’s ex-fiance and mother of his child, Katie Dell Smith, shared a blog post where she outlined her relationship with the country music superstar.

The story popped up again after another outlet shared a copy of the blog post written by Katie Dell Smith. Smith and Wallen met via Snapchat and were engaged just a few short months after meeting. The engagement was broken off after a short time, but they continued dating and living together for several years.

Toward the end of that third year and their relationship, Wallen “wasn’t the most faithful,” Smith explained in the post. At the end of the relationship, she fell pregnant and later gave birth to Indie, Wallen’s son.

“Soon after I gave birth, Morgan posted on Instagram that we had a child together, so a lot of my following- literally about 100k came from that,” Smith continued. She had been in a horrific car accident just three months into the pregnancy, and then the pandemic hit. Instead of continuing a job in outside sales, Smith took up a career at her apartment complex.

“A social media management company reached out to me and asked me to work for brands full time, and so I did just that. I ended up moving to a rental that was better suited for the little family we created and never went back to the apartment job after maternity leave,” she noted. But that didn’t make things easier for her relationship with Wallen.

Coparenting was apparently incredibly difficult with Wallen at first. But after time, Smith felt healed. As a result of her pregnancy, Smith also discovered she had cervical cancer. After giving birth to Indie, she was able to have surgery to remove all of the cancerous cells. (RELATED: Country Music Star Morgan Wallen Embraces Fan Arrested While Wearing His Mugshot)

Even with just what I’ve detailed in this one article, Smith is an exceptionally impressive woman. She helps women through heartbreak, stressors, and even just the tribulations of day-to-day life with a Christ-centric approach, and I for one am totally here for it.
