REPORT: LeBron James Suffers Foot Injury That Could Have Him Out For Weeks. Will The Hot Lakers Now Miss The Playoffs?

You talk about a massively-sized blow to the Lakers’ momentum.

The Los Angeles Lakers are concerned about a right foot injury that LeBron James suffered that could potentially leave him out for several weeks, according to a Monday report from ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski.

LeBron is currently undergoing testing and discussions to figure out the full extent of his injury, which happened Sunday during the Lakers 27-point comeback victory against the Dallas Mavericks.

Prior to this news, Los Angeles announced that James will be out for tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies because of a sore right foot.

Holy shit, you talk about horrible timing. I feel for the Lakers here.

They go out in the trade market and land D’Angelo Russell, get hot shortly after as a result — currently on a three-game winning streak — and then that huge ball of momentum just deflates with LeBron getting hurt.

No matter how you feel about LeBron or the Lakers, that’s rough.

I was just blogging about them yesterday about how the NBA might have a problem on their hands. At that particular time, they did. Like I said, the Lakers were getting hot, and on top of that, they had a chip on their shoulder:
