You talk about a massively-sized blow to the Lakers’ momentum.
The Los Angeles Lakers are concerned about a right foot injury that LeBron James suffered that could potentially leave him out for several weeks, according to a Monday report from ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski.
LeBron is currently undergoing testing and discussions to figure out the full extent of his injury, which happened Sunday during the Lakers 27-point comeback victory against the Dallas Mavericks.
Prior to this news, Los Angeles announced that James will be out for tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies because of a sore right foot.
James miraculously played through the injury that is now expected to require multiple opinions, sources said, and the Lakers are bracing for his absence to be multiple weeks. https://t.co/zuovQ2wVzc

Holy shit, you talk about horrible timing. I feel for the Lakers here.
They go out in the trade market and land D’Angelo Russell, get hot shortly after as a result — currently on a three-game winning streak — and then that huge ball of momentum just deflates with LeBron getting hurt.
No matter how you feel about LeBron or the Lakers, that’s rough.
I was just blogging about them yesterday about how the NBA might have a problem on their hands. At that particular time, they did. Like I said, the Lakers were getting hot, and on top of that, they had a chip on their shoulder:

And now the playoffs are potentially out of reach just like that with LeBron’s injury. (RELATED: Cavinder Twins Drop Video In NCAA’s Face After Miami Hurricanes Women’s Basketball Gets Hit With Ridiculous Sanctions)
Lakers fans gotta be gutted.
