Model Purposely Set On Fire As She Walks At Paris Runway Show

A model’s outfit purposely went up in flames Tuesday as she walked the Heliot Emil runway during Paris Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2023 show.

The model’s all-black outfit was set ablaze moments before she walked the concrete catwalk in front of a live audience, video footage of the moment shows. The outfit included a baggy hooded jacket and oversized flared pants. Zipper detailing accentuated the look, which the model wore with chunky footwear.

Flames can be seen shooting up from the model’s back, arms and legs, and the clip captures the shock value stunned audience members experienced at the show.

A small purse adorned the model’s outfit, which also included a baseball cap and a veil. A hoodie was tied around the model’s waist.

Audience members at the event included Avril Lavigne and rapper Tyga, according to the New York Post (NYP).

Brothers Julius and Victor Juul founded Heliot Emil in 2016, reportedly naming the brand after their great-grandfather. The label focuses on monochromatic unisex clothing inspired by the designers’ Scandinavian roots, according to the brand’s official website.
