Denise Russo, Star Of VH1 Reality Show ‘The X-Life,’ Dead At 44

Reality television star Denise Russo from the hit VH1 show “The X-Life” was found dead at her friend’s home in San Diego on Sunday at the age of 44.

Law enforcement sources said Russo was unresponsive when friends located her. First responders arrived on the scene and attempted to resuscitate her, but she was later pronounced dead at the residence, according to TMZ. The San Diego Police Department is currently investigating, and sources close to the situation reported that drug paraphernalia was found at the scene, per TMZ. The official cause of Russo’s death has not yet been confirmed.

Russo was primarily recognized for her time on the 2011 reality television series, “The X-Life,” which featured three couples who took part in a variety of extreme sports.

Friend and former “X-Life” castmate Susie Stenberg said Russo was homeless and had been living in her car at the time of her death, according to TMZ. Stenberg described her friend as “the most loving and loyal person.” She also said Russo had reached out to her the night before her death to tell her she loved her, according to TMZ.

Fans are flocking to Russo’s social media accounts to share messages of love and condolences. The investigation into her death is ongoing.
