Country music star Morgan Wallen topped both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Country Songs charts Monday, making him the first musician to do so since 1981.

Wallen hit the top of the charts with his latest single “Last Night” from his recently released 36-track album, “One Thing At A Time,” according to Billboard. It’s the first song by an unaccompanied male artist to share both charts since 1981, when Eddie Rabbitt’s “I Love a Rainy Night,” achieved the same success.

Last Night” went from No. 3, to No. 5, and then all the way up to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart, making it the star’s first leader on the list, Billboard noted. The full album had the largest streaming week ever for a country album in 2023 thus far.

But “Last Night” is not alone on the charts. Wallen currently takes up five of the Top 10 spots for Billboard. His previous releases “Thought You Should Know,” “Thinkin’ Bout Me,” “You Proof” and “One Thing At A Time,” are all ranking this week, suggesting Wallen’s previous cancellation is far in his rearview mirror. “Last Night” hit the top spot thanks to 47.5 million streams and 10.8 million radio airplay audience impressions, and was sold 18,000 times from March 3 to March 9, according to Billboard.

Taylor Swift is the only other musician to get two songs to No. 1 on the Country and Hot 100 charts, but never at the same time.
