I’m not gonna lie … I’m loving this as a Miami Dolphins fan.

Future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers might have said that he wants to play for the New York Jets, but a deal is far from being completed between the Jets and the Green Bay Packers, according to a report from ProFootballTalk.

The report states, citing multiple sources, that Green Bay wants a first-round pick “and more” from New York in exchange for Rodgers — they’re looking for protection in 2025 in case Rodgers returns for the 2024 season. However, the Jets feel like the Packers are asking for too much considering the Packers no longer want the quarterback.

Another interesting thing from PFT’s report is that they state everything “feels personal.” This is because Rodgers reportedly wanted Green Bay to fire general manager Brian Gutekunst two years ago, something that Rodgers never denied. Now, as ProFootballTalk says in their report, Gutekunst is looking for revenge.

Man … what an absolutely beautiful offseason it’s been for me as a Miami Dolphins fan.

Not only do my Dolphins have a great offseason picking up several pieces on defense and a couple on the offensive line (crucial positions), but we land the biggest available fish in Jalen Ramsey — a pure playmaker. And on top of that, the Dolphins were his number one option — the glory!

And how can I forget about us landing Vic Fangio, the best defensive coordinator in the entire NFL? (RELATED: REPORT: Three South Carolina Football Players Charged And Suspended For Allegedly Hiding, Trying To Escape With AR-15)

And now here we go with the New York Jets (one of my Dolphins’ rivals) potentially falling flat on their face in their attempt to bring in Rodgers, continuing their dysfunctional ways.

I am absolutely giddy.
