MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough listed several “legitimate” reasons to criticize President Joe Biden on Friday.
Scarborough and his fellow panelists were criticizing former President Donald Trump for saying there are some “USA-hating people that represent us” in a recent campaign video. Trump went on in the video to criticize a lack of borders and rule of law.
Scarborough began to criticize the campaign video before turning his attention to Biden.
“I mean, there are things to criticize Joe Biden about,” Scarborough said. “You go after- whether you’re Republican and you want to go after Afghanistan, his retreat from Afghanistan, you want to talk about him spending too much money on this program or that program. You want to blame him for inflation with the COVID Relief Act. You want to talk about the border, talk about all of those things!” (RELATED: ‘It Didn’t Work’: Scarborough Says Biden Failed To Calm Bank Fears)
“There are legitimate things to criticize Joe Biden about and have debate over, but talking about how America is the greatest threat to Western civilization, I just think it’s really important to keep things in perceptive here,” he added before turning his attention back to Trump.
New York Times editorial board member Mara Gay also jumped in and alleged Trump’s words were actually “coded language” of “fascism” and “white supremacy.”
