Surveillance video footage captures the moment a man was executed on the sidewalk Sunday night in Miami.
The incident unfolded at around 3:30 a.m. A group of tourists were walking underneath umbrellas when a gunman, later identified as 24-year-old Dontavious Leonard Polk, suddenly opened fire on one victim, according to NBC Miami.
The individuals immediately begin to run away, with some covering their heads as they run for their lives, video footage of the moment shows.

Police detained Polk after chasing him on foot before an officer tackled him to the ground, according to NBC Miami.
The unidentified victim was taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A second person was also injured in the shooting but is expected to recover, NBC Miami reported.
Another shooting occurred over the same weekend that left one dead and one injured, prompting authorities to enact a curfew between 11:59 p.m. Sunday and 6:00 a.m. Monday, according to the NBC Miami.
