U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

Winning the 2017 World Baseball Classic, the United States of America entered the 2023 edition of the tournament as defending champions. Now, the boys in red, white and blue are just one win away from successfully defending that title.

The U.S. completely annihilated rival (and communist, did you guys see all of the protests?) nation Cuba, 14-2, in the semifinals of the WBC on Sunday night at Miami’s loanDepot Park — home of Major League Baseball’s Marlins. The win was in large part due to the two bomb home runs from Trea Turner, continuing an incredible tournament for the new Philadelphia Phillie.

America now advances to the championship game on Tuesday — also in the 305 — against the winner of the other semifinal showdown between Japan and Mexico in. If the United States wins the championship, it would become the second team to win two WBC titles, joining Japan which notched final wins in 2006 (inaugural) and 2009.

Man, the United States was absolutely beautiful last night. And wow, what a magical night it was for me.

YouTube TV (the streaming service I’m with) has been testing out multi-game views during March Madness. In other words, you’ve been able to watch up to four games at the same time. Well, during the United States-Cuba contest, I had a dilemma of wanting to watch three games at the same time — USA vs. Cuba (I’m an American, duh), Miami (FL) vs. Indiana (I’m a Canes fan, duh) and FDU vs. Florida Atlantic (I showed up to support South Florida, duh).

So with YouTube TV (which was on my big screen), I had both the Hurricanes and Owls game on, and then on my laptop (because YouTube TV doesn’t do multi-view for all games/channels … yet), I had the United States game. So yes, I was watching three games at the same time, in my own household, and it was absolutely beautiful. YouTube TV, if we can please do multi-view permanently (because March Madness is just them testing it out), it would be great. And please let us choose our own channels to fill in the four boxes. Last night with that experience was absolutely amazing, so let’s get that going, Google (the owners of YouTube).

And check out how all three teams I was rooting for won. Truly, truly a magical night.
